Nightbeat: The Lion Show

One night, after a discussion of strange pets, a man called to say he had a pet lion. Walt glibly suggested that the man bring it down to the station, expecting to see a lion cub, if anything at all.

The caller showed up later with what Walt describes as, "a real, live Metro-Goldwin-Mayer lion." After demonstrating a discomforting interest in Walt's calves, the lion roamed peacefully around the studio while the show went on (and the host tried to keep his cool).
